ANC supporters in KZN will travel to the South Coast to mark the party’s centenial anniversary.
|||ANC supporters in KwaZulu-Natal are to travel to the South Coast on Saturday for a celebration as the party continues marking its centenary.
They are to be addressed by ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe.
The party’s provincial secretary, Sihle Zikalala, said the leaders of the IFP, DA, Minority Front, National Freedom Party and African Christian Democratic Party had been invited to attend the celebration in Gamalakhe, Port Shepstone, on Sunday.
Zikalala said buses would be provided to take supporters to the function, which would also be attended by ANC provincial chairman Zweli Mkhize.
The programme would also be a celebration of the attaining of democracy, said Zikalala. The celebrations would start with a walk, led by Mkhize, through Port Shepstone on Saturday, followed by a dinner at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre in the evening, and the main event on Sunday. - The Mercury
