Two men have been arrested after being found in possession of missing cop Bongiwe Zuma’s cellphone.
|||Two men have been arrested after being found in possession of a cellphone belonging to missing policewoman Constable Bongiwe Zuma.
Police spokeswoman Lieutenant Joey Jeevan, confirmed that the men were arrested in a joint operation by the police’s Pietermaritzburg Tactical Response Team, Crime Intelligence Unit and the Plessislaer Tracing Unit on Thursday.
Zuma disappeared on May 22. Her red Volkswagen Golf was later found abandoned in the Mason’s Mill area near Imbali.
Another cellphone, found in the suspects’ possession, was stolen from a motorist in Pietermaritzburg on May 25.
The men, aged 22 and 31, are expected to make a court appearance in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate’s Court today.
